Fact Check: Did A BJP MP Say "Jawans Meant To Die" After Recent Pulwama Attack?

The entire nation is mourning the loss of 40 CRPF soldiers who were mercilessly killed in the deadly Pulwama terror attack. 

Claim:

In the wake of the recent Pulwama attack a quotation ascribed to Nepal Singh, a BJP MP has gone viral all across social media: "Army jawans are bound to get killed. They are paid for doing so."

Truth:

YES, a BJP MP did make the statement BUT THIS IS NOT RELATED TO THE RECENT PULWAMA ATTACK. IT IS AN OLD STATEMENT and was made last year i.e. in January 2017. BJP leader's statement sparked controversy and he also tendered an apology. 

The backdrop of Nepal Singh's statement was the attack which had taken place on a CRPF training camp in Pulwama on December 31, 2017 in which 4 CRPF personnel were killed.
