Jamshyd Godrej, CMD, Godrej & Boyce
Jamshyd Godrej is the Chairman & Managing Director of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited, the holding company of the Godrej Group. Godrej & Boyce has diverse businesses ranging from refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, office and home furniture, security equipment for banks and for commercial establishments and home locks and latches among other products. He is a member of the Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Committee. He is the Past President of the Confederation of Indian Industry and also the Past President of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association.
Jamshyd is the Chairman of the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre. For his contribution to Indian industry, Jamshyd has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions including the ‘Padma Bhushan’, conferred upon him by the President of India on 3rd April 2003.
An ardent yachting enthusiast, Jamshyd has done extensive cruising along the west coast of India, the Baltic sea, Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean sea.
Nadir Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Agrovet
A veteran of the Indian industry, Nadir has played an important role in developing the animal feed, agricultural input and chemicals businesses owned by Godrej. His active interest in research related to these areas has resulted in several patents in the field of agricultural chemicals and surfactants.
A Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, Nadir completed his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He lives in Mumbai, India with his wife and three children.
He is also a Director of numerous firms including Godrej & Boyce Co Ltd., Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Indian Hotels Co Ltd. and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Pirojsha Godrej, Executive Chairman, Godrej Properties
In 2012, Pirojsha took over as CEO of Godrej Properties. He has led the company through a phase of rapid growth through which the company has established itself as one of India's leading and fastest growing real estate developers.
Pirojsha graduated from the Wharton School of Business in 2002 and completed his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in 2004. He went on to complete an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2008 before rejoining GPL as Executive Director. In 2010, Pirojsha led the initial public offering of the company through which Godrej Properties raised $100 million.
Under Pirojsha’s leadership, Godrej Properties has been at the forefront of the sustainable development movement. In 2013, GPL was recognised with an award from former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam, on behalf of the Confederation of Indian Industry for being one of the companies in India from across sectors to have driven the green building movement.
Tanya Dubash, Executive Director, Godrej Industries
Tanya Dubash, eldest daughter of Adi Godrej, is responsible for reinventing the Godrej Brand and charged with evolving the Group to a more brand-driven organisation.
Tanya is a director on the boards of several Godrej Group companies including Godrej Industries Limited, Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Godrej Agrovet Limited. She is also the chairperson of Godrej Nature's Basket. She heads the Strategic Marketing Group (SMG) that guides the Godrej Masterbrand and portfolio strategy, and chairs a marketing council comprising group marketing heads. Tanya is also on the board of AIESEC.
She is a trustee of Brown University and a member of the Brown-India Advisory Council. She was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2007.
She is AB cum laude, Economics & Political Science, Brown University USA, and an alumnus of the Harvard Business School.
Nisaba Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Consumer Products
Fondly known as Nisa, she is responsible for driving the Group's transformation efforts, including efforts to attract and develop outstanding talent and make the culture more agile and innovative. Passionate about girls' education, trekking and equestrian sports, Nisa lives in Mumbai with her husband Kalpesh Mehta and son Zoran.
She also oversees the corporate strategy and human capital functions for Godrej Industries and Associate Companies (GILAC). Nisa's previous assignments within the Godrej Group have included the successful turnaround of Godrej Agrovet. She has also led the creation of a strategy cell for the group and the development of the FMCG strategy, a very dear business area for her father, Adi Godrej. This has included creating a five year roadmap for Godrej Consumer Products, outlining category choices and instituting an M&A cell with a focused playbook that led to eight acquisitions between 2009 and 2011. Nisa has a BSc degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
