Edible Oils Slip On Subdued Demand

In edible segment, groundnut oil slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 880 from Thursday's close at Rs 885 and refined palmolein edged down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 593 from Rs 597

Groundnut oil slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here on Friday (29 September) following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, refined palmolein also eased due to sluggish demand from retailers.

While castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial firmed up owing to sustained demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Meanwhile, linseeds oil held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In edible segment, groundnut oil slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 880 from Thursday's close at Rs 885 and refined palmolein edged down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 593 from Rs 597.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold rose by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,765 from yesterday's close of Rs 4,755 and castor oil commercial edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 983 as against Rs 981.

Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
