Founded in December 2006, Doyensys currently operates out of Texas, US, and headquarters in Chennai. Already making strides in the IT sector, Doyensys offers services in Oracle EBS, Oracle Database Administration and Application Server Administration. Under the leadership of CEO Somu Chockalingam, the company has expanded exponentially, especially in the US. With over 200 employees in the US and India, Doyensys bets on a wholesome working environment. A survey ranked Doyensys No. 19 among the top 50 Great Mid-Size Workplaces in the country for 2019. The evolution of Doyensys over the years is a remarkable story. “Doyensys started with three founders, who used to do consulting work for us, and today we have over 200 employees in India and the US. We have tried to retain the flat organisation culture, but at the same time, trying to bring in processes that would suit the diversified needs of the people” the CEO told BW Businessworld.
Talking about the characteristics that make Doyensys a great place to work and the thoughts on an ideal company, Chockalingam said, “We believe in a flat organisational structure with great transparency. We have also engaged an excellent coach and HR advisor Soma Valliyappan, who has been instrumental in advising us on all our people initiatives. We want Doyensys to be a company that would be a delight for the customers, and at the same time, be employee-friendly with less supervision. Doyen means ‘leader by experience’ and we want Doyensys to be at the top for the Oracle-based services. We have a long way to go, but I’m sure we are heading in the right path and we take course corrections regularly.”
“On an average, employees stay with Doyensys for four years. Currently, we have over 75 people, who have been with us for more than five years in our 13-year journey.
