Today, we are in a position to do different things and in India, every problem is seen as an opportunity. So, apparently while looking at the enormous diversified structure of the country, people are mesmerised by its length, breadth and overarching population. Is that a problem or an opportunity? Indeed an opportunity to monetise upon!

India is a country of many unique opportunities and in these opportunities, companies are finding the rich harvest of investing in them. Companies no longer work out of office or a cubicle. Most companies today have mobile sales force where people are travelling the length and breadth of the country trying to get things done. How will companies manage this workforce? Microsoft Kaizala brings a unique opportunity to not only manage the workforce working across the country but also manage customers and clients as well.

Microsoft Kaizala is a simple and secure mobile chat app with powerful workable potential. The uniqueness lies in being a mobile chat app along with some mind-boggling capabilities. Enabling organisations to communicate effectively, efficiently and securely with their first line workforce.

It allows the organisation to communicate with partners or customers with just a phone number. Kaizala also makes it very easy to partner with task workers, vendors, dealers, and customers using a simple ‘chat’ interface. Also, this Microsoft application aids anyone to run a survey or collect data seamlessly.

On the occasion of Kaizala’s first annual anniversary, Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India said, “The mobile has become the primary form of doing business and when you have that level of involvement along with preference of mobile form of communication, you start using applications which are designed for consumer use and then you start adding your enterprise’s data on these consumer applications. That's where I think, we got the need wherein no real-time messaging through a task platform existed before from an enterprise point of view for communication.”

According to Forester, McKinsey, and IBM while using an optimised communication platform can increase their productivities from 20 to 25%. Moreover, the first line workers can save up to about $7 million worth of time and white collar workers can save 25 minutes a day. That's a significant amount of capability back into the organisation and a large cost saving if you utilise the features especially in terms of data security and without such communication platforms organisations can receive harm inappropriately.

While talking about Kaizala, Seth Patton, General Manager, Microsoft US said, “The idea is to empower employees while also ensuring that company and customer data is secure and the privacy is preserved. In fact, 81% of business leaders are going to be investing more in modern workplace technologies in the coming two years, than the last two years.“ The modern workplace really expands beyond information, workers and teams and even beyond your organisation's directory which includes connecting with first-line workers and people outside of your organisation's directory as well. Kaizala helps you to do this simply with just a phone number while being secure at the same time.

Rajeev Kumar, Microsoft Corporate Vice President said, “The beauty lies in getting work into a chat seamlessly without complicating the chat experience and vice versa along with bringing workflow into the process without complicating it.” People want to utilise data and make it actionable. Data coming into a chat app and without any use has no significance. However, Kaizala leverages the phone capabilities of location, picture or video, and accelerometer GPS to make a world-class product.

Mr. Shekar, CEO, PC Solutions has deployed Kaizala in his organisation. He informs, “Today we are using Kaizala for our HR for employee engagement and trainings.” Kaizala is not only feature-loaded but is secure as well. Microsoft’s Kaizala is already available in 28 countries and more countries are being added to the list. It has the facility of nesting groups along with polling of surveys along with pulling of data seamlessly which can be carried from mobile devices and can be transferred to an online storage.

Kaizala is essentially a free application for personal usage, available on the iOS and Android platform. Kaizala Pro is also available which is a management portal allowing the user to manage data and the analytics that comes along with Kaizala. Kaizala Pro is complimentary with Office 365. The power of having access to data and analytics in your pocket all the time is the key.
