Crude Oil Futures Decline Over 2 % On Low Demand

Brent crude was trading 1.24 per cent down at USD 42.19 per barrel in New York.

Crude oil futures on Tuesday slumped 2.42 per cent to Rs 2,981 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for July delivery fell by Rs 74, or 2.42 per cent, to Rs 2,981 per barrel with a business volume of 5,919 lots.

Crude oil for August delivery was quoting lower by Rs 73, or 2.37 per cent, at Rs 3,010 per barrel with an open interest of 157 lots.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading lower by 1.55 per cent at USD 39.48 per barrel.

Brent crude was trading 1.24 per cent down at USD 42.19 per barrel in New York.
