Chhattisgarh Budget: Bhupesh Baghel Presents State Budget For FY 2021-22

The budget is slated to take the state to newer heights in every sphere, expressing the sentiments embodied in the core mantra of "Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh". The budget defines various dimensions of the concept of development with every letter of the word HEIGHT in English.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presented budget for the year 2021-22 in the assembly on 1 March.

The budget is slated to take the state to newer heights in every sphere, expressing the sentiments embodied in the core mantra of "Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh". The budget defines various dimensions of the concept of development with every letter of the word HEIGHT in English.

This includes H-Holistic development, E-Education (equal opportunity for all), I-Infrastructure (supplement of development), G- Governance (sensitive and effective administration), H-Health (healthy body-greatest wealth) and T-Transformation (change: for the government & public).

Main provisions of the budget
1. Formation of special police force named Bastar Tigers in all the districts of Bastar division.
2. Establishment of "C-Mart" store for making Chhattisgarhi arts, crafts, forest produce, agriculture and all other types of products and cuisines available under one roof
3. Setting up of rural industrial park in rural areas similar to Pauni Pasari scheme in cities
4. Fisheries will be given the same status as agriculture
5. Four new development boards constituted to revive traditional rural business skills - Telghani, leather craftsman, iron craftsman and Razakar Development Board
6. A new justice scheme will be launched for rural agricultural landless laborers.
7. "Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collector Social Security Scheme" for Tendupatta collector families
8. Assistance of Rs. 5 lakh to journalists on accidental death due to accident.
9. Lump sum assistance of Rs 5,000 to women under Kaushalya Maternity Scheme on birth of second child girl
10. Mukhyamantri Dharsa Development Scheme to facilitate the farmers to reach the fields 11. Establishment of Chhattisgarh Cultural Zone on the lines of Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal in Nava Raipur.
12. Provision of Rs 30 crores for Shri Ram Vanagman tourism complex
13. 119 new English schools under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme
14. Establishment of National Level Boarding School at Nava Raipur
15. Provision of Rs  5 crores 85 lakhs for Padhna Likhna Abhiyan Yojana. Provision of
16. Establishment of 7 new colleges and 3 girls colleges.
17. Graduation courses started in 14 colleges and PG courses started in 15 colleges
18. Establishment of 9 boys and 9 new girls hostels
19. Building construction for 6 new college
20. Establishment of 2 new ITIs
21. Provision of new items totaling Rs. 504 crore for construction of 12 new railway over bridges, 151 new bridges, 585 roads.
22. Provision of Rs 12 crore for construction of 104 roads and 116 bridges in Naxalite affected rural areas.
23. Provision of Rs 300 crore for new irrigation schemes.
24. Provision of 45 crores for new water supply schemes in urban areas
25. Establishment of Gems and Jewelry Park at Pandri Raipur at a cost of 350 crores
26. Provision for extension of electric line to facilitate irrigation of fields along rivers.
27. Establishment of Bio Ethanol Exhibition Site Plant at Village Godhi, District Bemetara.
28. Establishment of 11 new tehsils and 5 new subdivisions.
29. Creation of 2200 new posts of women home guards in girls hostels and ashrams
30. Government takes over  Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College Durg
31. Provision of Rs 5,703 crore for Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana 32. Provision of 2,500 crore under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana
33. Rs 150 crores for energization of agricultural pumps, provision of 530 crores under Solar Sujla.
34. Target set for disbursement of Short-term agricultural loan worth Rs 5,900 crore without interest to farmers
35. Provision of Rs 175 crores for Godhan Nyaya Yojana
36. Establishment of state level helpdesk center for unorganized workers
37. Provision of Rs 150 crores for Chhattisgarh Roads and Infrastructure Development Corporation for construction of 3,900 km long roads and bridges costing 5,225 crore.
38. Provision of Rs 100 crores for Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana.
39. Provision of Rs 940 crores for 24 roads of length of 825 km in the ADB Phase-3 project.
40. Provision of Rs 152 crores for 4 major irrigation projects Arpa Bhaisajhar, Kelo, Rajiv Samoda Diversion and Sandhur.
41. Monthly Stationary Allowance of Patwaris increased by Rs. 250.
42. Honorarium of Swachhta Didis to be increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000
43. A provision of Rs 300 crores for the construction of new medical colleges Kanker, Korba and Mahasamund.
44. Establishment of Community Health Center at Sanna, Jashpur, Shivrinarayan-Janjgir and 30 bed hospital at Risali-Bhilai.
45. Provision of 13 crores for the Chief Minister Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme
