Chattisgarh Government Rejigs 20 IAS 2 IPS Officer

The order issued by the state government announced to transfer of over 100 State Administrative Service (SAS) and state police service officers in the major rejig.

The Government of Chattisgarh led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel recently rejigged as many as 20 IAS and 2 IPS officers in a bid to sideline the widening rift among the ruling Congress Party over the demands of changing the state Chief Minister. 

The order issued by the state government announced to transfer of over 100 State Administrative Service (SAS) and state police service officers in the major rejig. The notification issued by the state administration named Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Subrat Kumar Sahoo, a 1992-batch IAS officer,  who has been released of his additional charge of ACS, water resources department and has been assigned the responsibility of ACS, Public Health Engineering Department.

The Principal Secretary for Commerce and Industries Manoj Kumar Pingua, who also held the additional charge as Resident Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi, has been given the charge of the Principal Resident Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Bhawan, New Delhi.

M Geetha, the state Secretary for Agriculture, Farmer Welfare and Biotechnology department has been given the Additional Charge as Resident Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Bhawan, New Delhi.

The state government has also issued orders to transfer Deputy Inspector General of Police (Police Headquarters in Raipur) Ajay Yadav, as in-charge Inspector General of Surguja range, while the Chhattisgarh Armed Force’s Commandant of 11th battalion (Janjgir Champa) Vivek Shukla has been transferred as assistant Inspector General (law and order), police headquarters, Raipur.

The orders issued by the state government have also assigned new postings to 96 SAS and six state police service officers.
