What are you reading at the moment? What did you recently finish reading? What have you learnt from it?
I am currently reading Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions. By Dan Ariely. It is an excellent read. The book provokes you to re-think your decision making thought process which shapes all decisions of your life.

The one book all leaders must read... and why?
Predictably Irrational. Because the book helps one realise how systematic certain mistakes, how they are constantly repeated and helps readers learn how to avoid some of them. Ariely discusses certain basic fundamental assumptions around cost of free, demand vs support, being paid vs friendly favour, the role of emotion in decision making, expectation management, which I believe will be very interesting for business leaders to read.

One book everyone in your sector should pick up... and why?
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. The book is thought provoking and invokes the subconscious workings with regard to goal setting.

What kind of books would you normally buy while travelling?
When travelling, I usually buy the likes of The Bhagvad Gita, and the biography of Swami Vivekanand

Have you written any books? If not, do you plan to write in future?
No, I haven't as yet but would like to write a book around human behaviour.

The books you grew up with? What did you like most about it?
I have been a voracious reader since childhood. My favourites were P.G. Woodhouse, Agatha Christie, Satyajit Ray's children's classics and Hindu mythology books.

Your book shelf consists of....
Everything from philosophy, religion and mythology to crime, thrillers and comedy finds a space on my shelf.

Where do you shop for books?
My regular stops are Crosswords and Flipkart, online

Have your reading habits changed in the past four or five years? If so, how....
I hardly get time to read since my son was born three years ago and mostly read after 11 in the night till around 2am.

One book you cherish that you received as a gift... and who gave it to you.
The Complete Works Of Swami Vivekananda given to me by my Father.
