Cannes Lions:; FCB Ulka Bags The Sole Gold Lion For India

In total, India has bagged 17 metals which include only one Gold, five Silvers and 11 Bronze. FCB Ulka bagged the sole Gold for India.

On the last day of Cannes Lion 2019, India took a sigh of relief as it finally added a Gold Lion in its kitty. FCB Ulka India bagged the sole Gold Lion for India along with a Bronze Lion in its favour. In addition, Dentsu Webchutney bagged three Bronze Lions.

FCB Ulka India picked the Gold Lion for its work with The Millennium School titled, ‘The Open Door Project’ in the category for Sustainable Development Goals. While under the category for Brand Experience & Activation, the agency also bagged a Bronze Lion for the same campaign. In total, FCB Ulka bagged two metals in the entire Cannes Lion 2019.

The other agency that bagged a few accolades on the last day of the festival was Dentsu Webchutney scooping three Bronze Lions in its favour. Its work for Flipkart’s  ‘Hagglebot’ campaign won two bronze under the Brand Experience & Activation category and the Creative eCommerce category. While under the category of Mobile Winners, it picked another Bronze for its client Swiggy’s ‘Voice of Hunger’ campaign.  Overall, across the entire festival the agency bagged the highest number of metals with a total of six in its kitty including a silver.  

In total, India has bagged 17 metals this year which include only one Gold, five silvers and 11 bronze.   The agencies that bagged silvers  are Grey India, Dentsu Webchutney, Mindshare, Leo Burnett and Lowe Lintas.  TBWA India, DDB Mudra, Wunderman Thompson and Offroad Films bagged Bronze Lions.
