Business Is Equal To Profits
Business is equal to profits, and until the time business attains profitability, it’s as good as burning money in fire. So work hard and don’t chase venture capitalist funds. Create value, generate profits and money will follow

Success mantra Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
The driving force behind your journey I come from a low-middle-class family. I have seen some really bad days. I learnt the value of money very early in my life. I think this is the biggest driving force behind me. Creating wealth not only for myself but for everyone associated with Xapads is what I aspire to achieve.
Business advice I am a baniya and have been in business for many years. Business and love for money run in my veins. The most important advice I have ever got and I still adhere to is ‘business is equal to profits’. If you are making money for your stakeholders and investors, then it’s a business, else it’s just a fad.
Tips for budding entrepreneurs My suggestion would be opposite to what most of the entrepreneurs might suggest. I don’t believe in scaling until and unless you are creating value for the ecosystem and profits for stakeholders. Business is equal to profits, and until the time business attains profitability, it’s as good as burning money in fire. So work hard and don’t chase venture capitalist funds. Create value, generate profits and money will follow.
Government support The ecosystem can never be enough. There’s always scope for more. While I will refrain from commenting on any of the policies, I am really looking forward to favourable policies in the years to come that will boost the Indian start-up ecosystem, or we will keep seeing the brain drain.
The team A CEO / leader / entrepreneur is nothing without his team. I am as good as the least performing member of my team, as he is representing the brand we have built with our sweat and blood. Entrepreneurship is a long journey and its only fun when you have like-minded companions to cruise through it.
Inspiration I don’t believe in looking up to someone else. My ideal is me, myself in 10 years from now. It gives you a power to chase your dreams and brings out the best in you.
The next step We are expanding internationally. We have just got Xapads registered in the US and Singapore. I am looking forward to more hiring to scale our international business. After five years of bootstrapping, we are looking to raise some funds to expand at a faster pace.
