Brand Promotion The Facebook Way

Social networking sites have become an important tool for product/brands' promotions. Most of the companies are running contests on them. For instance, Hindustan Times has launched its new HT mini newspaper and made a Facebook page with a lot of new contests daily and is distributing free movie tickets to the winners. There are many companies who are following suit.

And Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) has announced the launch of its latest "I like JAPAN!" contest. At the end of the campaign, 20 lucky winners will win a brand new digital camera from Sony Cyber-shot.

Motonari Adachi, JNTO Singapore Executive Director, said, "With the impressive growth of social networking platforms in the Indian market, we are pleased to initiate the 'I like JAPAN!' quiz contest for our Facebook fans in India". He added, it is an opportunity for travelers to explore and learn more interesting information about Japan.

To take part in the contest, the participants can submit their answers to the quiz questions after registering themselves at the "Visit Japan from India" Facebook page. The contest is open to the Facebook users from India till 20 March 2012.
