Bajaj Auto's Total Domestic Sales Marginally Went Up In August At 200,659 Units

The company’s total exports went up by 7 per cent at 134,372 units when compared with 125,033 units for same month previous year

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has registered marginal rise in its total domestic sales for the month of August 2017 at 200,659 units as against 200,314 units during August 2016.

The company’s total exports went up by 7 per cent at 134,372 units when compared with 125,033 units for same month previous year. With 335,031 units, Bajaj Auto’s total sales witnessed year-on-year growth of 3 per cent.

Bajaj Auto’s motorcycle sales in the domestic market went down by 2 per cent at 171,664 units, while the same increased by 7 per cent in exports market at 112,197 units. Total motorcycle sales went marginally up by 1 per cent and stood at 283,861 units.

The company’s commercial vehicles’ sales posted good growth during August 2017. While sales in domestic market increased by 13 per cent, the same in export markets went up by 12 per cent.

Overall commercial vehicle sales stood at 51,170 units in August 2017 as against 45,436 units, thereby posting year-on-year growth of 13 per cent.
