Baahubali 2 Crosses Rs 1,000 Crore At Indian Box-Office

Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 has collected Rs 520 crore in its Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions, while the Hindi version solely brought Rs 490 crore taking the overall collections over Rs 1,000 crore.

The record breaking spree of Baahubali 2 is not over yet, as the movie has escalated past Rs 1,000 crore mark in Indian box-office.

Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 has collected Rs 520 crore in its Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions, while the Hindi version solely brought Rs 490 crore taking the overall collections over Rs 1,000 crore. The Hindi version of the film will most likely go past Rs 500 crore by the end of this weekend.

The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 was acquired for Rs 90 crore by Dharma Productions. The Hindi version of the film has proved to be a profitable venture. The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 is expected to rake in profits of more than Rs 400 crore, which takes its profit percentage to over 500 percent. This makes Baahubali 2 one of the biggest profitable affairs of Indian cinema.

This SS Rajamouli directed movie is yet to open in China. With China emerging as a big market for Indian cinema, after the release of Dangal, the makers are gearing up to release the movie in the country. Baahubali 2 has gone past Rs 1,600 crore at the international box-office, with good trade expectations from China; the movie might cross Rs 2,000 crore at the international box-office.

Baahubali 2 has truly taken Indian cinema to global platform and has set huge benchmarks for actors and directors of the film industry.

Baahubali 2 still has over 2500 screens in all languages in India. The movie is expected to bring in more moolah before the storm settles. The film screen count is likely to reduce this week with 'Sachin: The Billion Dreams' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' hitting theaters.
