Auto Expo 2020 To Kick Off At India Expo Mart
Theme for this year's Auto Expo is 'Explore the World of Mobility'

I ndia’s largest motor show, Auto Expo 2020, is set to take place at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida between February 7 and 12 with multiple unveils and launches happening despite big players backing out from this edition. The theme for this year's Auto Expo is 'Explore the World of Mobility' as the auto industry envisions a safer, cleaner, connected, bespoke and shared mobility for tomorrow. The Asia’s Auto Expo 2020 will also be about BSVI compliant cars and bikes as well as electric vehicles.

Asia’s biggest automobile exhibition will take place from February 7 to February 12 and will be open for general public from February 8 to February 12 from 11:00 am to 08:00 pm. Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020, will be spread in a total ground area of 2,35,000 sq mtrs with key automobile majors participating in indoor built-up area of 51,000 sq. mtrs (gross). The entry fee on February 7 is Rs 750 as it is open only for business visitors. The entry fee from February 8-12 is Rs 350 to Rs 475 and it's open for general public.
Some of the prominent auto companies attending the Auto Expo 2020 are Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Piaggio, Hyundai, Hero electric, Kia, Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, MG Motors, Renault, Skoda, SML Isuzu and Volkswagen. Although some leading players like Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, TVS, VW, Honda Cars India, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, etc. pulled out, there are a handful of new entrants like FAW, Great Wall Motors, etc, participating during this edition. Some of the launches and unveilings expected during Auto Expo 2020 are updated Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Futuro-E concept, Tata Gravitas, H2X and Altroz’s e-version, Kia QYI, 2020 Creta, Mahindra eKUV100, MG Gloster, Skoda Vision IN, VW Taigun, among others.
Interestingly, SIAM has also announced its partnership with Facebook, which will not bring alive the event experience at the Auto Expo, but also take it beyond the confines of the venue, to auto-enthusiasts across the country. The partnership with Facebook will allow a larger audience to experience the latest from the mobility ecosystem on Facebook and its family of apps - new launches from participating brands, new emission technology, safety standards, and the latest from the start-ups of the industry.
Meanwhile, in light of a global health emergency declared due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in China, SIAM India has affirmed that there will be no stalls manned by delegations from China. All the Chinese exhibitors will have their Indian employees at the Expo.
“All Chinese companies participating at the Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 have confirmed that their Exhibit Area would be manned by their Indian employees/representatives. None of these Stalls would be manned by anybody who has come to India recently from China. As all arrivals from China have now been stopped, there will be no visitors / delegations from China at the Motor Show 2020. Despite no Coronavirus threat directly at Auto Expo, the Organizers are taking measures to make people aware of symptoms and the prevention actions. Arrangements are being made to make available Hand Sanitizers, Rajan Wadhera, said in a recent statement.
