Article 15 Hits Box Office With A Golden Weekend

The film, Article 15, starring Ayushmann Khurrana succeeded to mint Rs 5.02 crore on its first day and had a bumper weekend. On Sunday, the film was expected to earn Rs 8 crore but managed to make a total of Rs 13.02 crore till date.
Article 15 is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film received immense love from the audience. The movie caught a pace on the weekend when the film managed to earn Rs. 7.25 crore on the second day i.e. Saturday. The film, through a fictional mix of incidents, tries to highlight the caste discrimination existing in India. The film throws light on the 2014 Badaun Gang Rape and Murder Case.
Ayushmann Khurrana personally thanked each audience and critic on Instagram for appreciating the film. Hindustan Times gave the movie 4.5 stars out of 5.
The movie does not lack any kind of performance by its actor. Ayushmann Khurrana perfectly managed to shine in his understated role. The movie is co- starred by Manoj Pahwa, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub with Sayani Gupta who played the role of a woman who tries to survive in the cruel world.
The movie faces innumerable controversies ever since its trailer was released. Some protesters claim that the movie potrays the upper caste negatively which lead to riots from upper caste and Brahmin communities. The protesters also said that the trailer of the movie created quite an uproar for the Karni Sena because the movie tried to damage the reputation of the Brahmins.
