Apple iPhone 13 Series Launched Along With Apple Watch Series 7 & Updated iPads

Apple iPhone 13 series, new iPad, and iPad mini have been announced along with the Apple Watch Series 7.

Apple Launches

Its official, Apple launches iPhone 13 series along with updated iPads and Series 7 Watch in the virtual event dubbed as California streaming. The tech giant has kept the prices for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini similar to the last year at Rs 79,900 and 69,900 respectively. However, the base option for the storage has been changed to 128GB.

On the other hand, the iPhone 13 Pro will start at Rs 1,19,900 and iPhone 13 Pro Max for Rs 1,29,900 which is the same amount quoted last year for iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. The pre-orders will start from September 17, sales from September 24, including in India.

What’s New: iPhone 13 Pro Series 

The iPhone 13 Pro series gets the most awaited 120 Hz ProMotion refresh rate on the display. The ProMotion is adaptive refresh rate which can vary to 120Hz refresh rate according to the content on the panel. The New Super Retina XDR OLED display panel gets 1000 nits of peak brightness.

Coming to the optics, iPhone 13 pro series gets new Ultra-Wide camera which is claimed to capture brighter and sharper images. Interestingly, the Cinematic mode also gets the update with rack focus and better machine learning. ProRes video also introduced that lets you record in 4k and 30 frames per second right from camera app. Moreover, MacroPhotography has added in the Pro lineup and the entire three lenses will support the Night mode. 

To boost the performance even further, Apple introduces A15 Bionic chip with complete iPhone 13 series. The A15 Bionic hexa-core SoC is claimed to be 50 percent faster than its nearest competitor. The six-core CPU comes with 2 high-performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It also boasts a 4-core GPU. It gets 16-core neural engine for improved machine learning activities.

Apple claims pro series to offer all day battery life that last 1.5 hours longer than iPhone 12 Pro and 2.5 hours longer than iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 13 Series

Both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini share Retina display with 1200 nits brightness and that is almost 30% brighter than its predecessor. The display sizes are 6.1-inch and 5.4-inches for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini respectively.

As we told you earlier, the iPhone 13 series gets the same A15 bionic chip. With the new chip iPhone 13 Mini is 30% faster from its previous generation.

Coming to the camera, iPhone 13 features a 12MP main sensor with Sensor Shift OIS and custom designed 12MP ultra-wide camera with bigger pexels. Interestingly, the iPhone 13 Mini also gets the same set of lenses. Moreover, the iPhone 13 gets rack focus as part of the new Cinematic Mode feature. This feature captures cinema style moments – holds focus on subject, anticipates when a subject is going into frame, focus on subjects gaze, and records in 4k 60 Dolby Digital HDR.

The iPhone 13 series comes with better Battery life with 1.5 hours longer than iPhone 12 mini and 2.5 hours longer than iPhone 12. Moreover, it also gets the Smart Data mode which helps conserving the battery life.

Apple iPad 2021

The ninth generation of Apple iPad runs the latest A13 Bionic chipset which claimed to offer 20% faster performance, 3x faster than Chrome book and 2x faster than any Android chipset. It also get the Center Stage feature that focuses on people and can automatically detects other users during FaceTime calls and video recording apps. It comes with iPadOS 15 and supports the first-generation Apple Pencil.

Apple iPad 2021 also gets the upgraded image processor with better selfies 12MP Ultra Wide camera and 122 degree field.

The new iPad starts at Rs 30,900 & Rs 42,900 for the Wi-Fi+ Cellular model.

Apple iPad Mini 6

The sixth generation of iPad mini features 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with uniform bezels. It gets the new touch ID location on top of iPad mini. It also gets USB-C port for seamless data transfers and connectivity.

Apple claims it to be fastest iPad mini ever with 40% jump in CPU performance and 30% GPU performance. The updated neural engine with 2x faster machine learning will further increase its performance.

As far as optics are concerned, the iPad Mini gets 12MP rear camera with True Tone flash, ISP and 4K video recording. The selfie shooter has a 12.2MP ultra-wide lens with Center Stage support. Moreover, it gets the Stereo speakers in landscape and supports Apple Pencil 2.

The new iPad mini starts at Rs 46,900 for Wi-Fi Model & Rs 60,900 for the Wi-Fi+ Cellular model.

Apple Watch Series 7

The Series 7 Watch comes with larger Always-on Retina display with 70% more brightness. The boarders thickened 40% compared to Series 6. The Case and display are now softer and rounder corners. The company calls it most durable Apple Watch as it comes with crack resistant crystal and aluminum chasis.

Apple Watch Series 7 comes with full keyboard with QuickPath that uses Machine learning to predict text while messaging. 

The new watch gets the 18hr battery life with 33% faster charging that takes just 45 minutes to go from 0 to 80% charge. Apple says that 8 minutes of charging can provide 8 hours of sleep tracking.

For protection, it gets P6X certification dust protection and WR50 water resistant. Moreover, it also offers Cycling fall detection.
