Apollo Hospitals, a chain of the hospitals, claimed that they are ready to administer one million dosages of Corona vaccine per day. However, the government till now have not made clear on how they are planning to distribute the vaccine.  Also, the government has not clear about the participation of private healthcare providers.

However, even if India decides to work with its large chain of private hospitals, it will be difficult to achieve success considering India has the world’s second-largest worst outbreak of the Covid-19 virus causing serious economic damage.

To fulfil all the requirement, Apollo has hired 61 new staff across its 71 hospitals and clinics. Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of the Apollo Hospital, said in an interview to a leading publishing house that it is not clear that on the government part whether they want to handle it on their own or will they let the private sector do it.

She also said that if the government decides to do it alone, it might take time. However, Apollo is ready to help in all its capacity, as in the long run, it is to be ensured that the vaccine reaches to more people in a shorter period.
