Being a lady Anoushka is an empathic leader, she is moved by the difficulties faced by girlchildren coming from a less privileged background and wants to provide them equal opportunity to grow and make their firm place in the future. Her other venture an NGO Lajja Foundation works for the upliftment and education of underprivileged girls. The organization provides financial support for girl children belonging to BPL families, it also holds the counselling sessions of the parents to let their girls and attain proper education. Lajja Foundation has helped many young girls to get a college education to ensure that they get quality education to better their financial conditions.
It also organizes menstrual hygiene camps for these girls in the slums of Mumbai. Anoushka says “This is one of the sensitive yet undermined issue slum areas. Due to lack of sanitation facilities, these girls face a huge risk of catching up infections. Besides discussion about menstrual cycles and associated health issues still being considered as social taboos make it even worse, so we organize these camps to create awareness so that these issues are eradicated eventually.”
Anoushka belongs to a generation of today, where stress, anxiety, depression, and associated mental health issues are common. She says “People have slowly started recognizing these as problems and mental health issues which not only need to be diagnosed but treated as well. Most of these are risk or illness associated with modern lifestyle and societal complexity.”
Her third venture Grow labs is a mental health lab that was born in response to these health issues and provides the necessary help. Grow labs has a team of mental health experts to provide online counselling to people dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, and other related issues.
Anoushka has not only kept herself cognizant of various issues prevailing in society but acted upon them to find solutions. She is a social entrepreneur; her approach is to find workable solutions and change the perception towards the issue. She says “Business should always incorporate some social responsibility to its foundation. We all are responsible to build a futuristic society and environment of collective growth”.
