As it turns out, one doesn't need to be inside a nightclub to experience the euphoric advent of the New Year! In a recent 'viral' video, 85 years old bedridden Pritpal Singh is seen passively partaking in the New Years Eve celebration organised by his family members and the HCAH (Health Care at Home) staff.
The video has been trending for days on twitter with thousands of retweets and likes by social media users including celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan. Comments like "Lions at heart ... Yo Punjabi", "Kya baat hai" to "Best video of 2017! this is so precious!" to "Where can I find complete story" and "Didn't need anyone to translate the love displayed in that clip. Thank you :)", the video is breaking the internet with the sheer love and affection displayed in it.
Not only the clip has struck the right chord with the audience as it portrays the essence of true Indian family taking care of one's parents in the best possible way and having a fun time with them but it has generated a lot of curiosity about the family and its story.
Undoubtedly, as evidently perceivable in the video, the HCAH staffers, in affiliation with the family members, make the extraordinary effort to provide a comforting and jubilant environment for the ailing grandfather of the family.
Vivek Srivastava, Co-Founder and CEO, HealthCare atHOME, said, "The videos shows our belief in forming genuine bonds for an enriching, fulfilling experience including the primacy of high-quality healthcare for effective treatment of conditions. It reflects our ethos and values to be the most people-centric, credible and comprehensive home healthcare solution provider in India."
However, all is not hunky-dory. Sources suggest that in actuality, only one person (the aged lady) in video is in fact related to the ailing grandfather. The rest of the people are HCAH staffers.
However, to take nothing away from the HCAH staffers, it really is a noble gesture on their part to partake in the celebration. It is this cheerful atmosphere, put together by ailing man's family and medical caretakers that is perhaps responsible for his speedy recuperation.
Pritpal Singh suffered a middle cerebral artery stroke in August 2016. As a result, the right side of his body went into a state of paralysis. Also, he lost the ability to speak. He received treatment at Max hospital in Mohali until September 2016 after which he was provided with HCAH services.
His dire medical situation significantly improved over the course of next 16 months, owing to the excellent care provided by the HCAH staff.
