Airtel Launches 4G Services In Kolkata

Bharti Airtel Limited along with Apple has launched 4G on mobile in Kolkata. With the roll out of Airtel 4G services on mobile, customers can experience an all new ‘electrifying’ internet browsing experience anytime, anywhere. Customers using Apple iPhone 5s or 5c have to just upgrade their existing SIM to a 4G SIM and select from any 4G plan to start enjoying mobile internet browsing at unbeatable speeds. Customers can now walk into Airtel stores at Salt Lake City Center 1, Park Street, Golpark and Dr UN Brahmachari Street to experience LIVE demos and get started on 4G.

MBSL Etches New Commissioning Benchmark For Indian Solar Sector
Moser Baer Solar Limited (MBSL), India’s solar EPC Company, etched a new landmark by commissioning a 32.2 MW solar farm in a record time of 39 days operating at an optimum generation efficiencies from the day 1 of its operations. The projects commissioned over 225 acres of land had multiple sub- contractors working round the clock to ensure timely completion of the project including getting it grid connected. The focus for the team management was to avoid wastage, enormous coordination, speed and managing the Installation like an Assembly line operation to ensure timely completion of the Project with precision planning.

K. N. Subramaniam, CEO, Moser Baer Solar Ltd. said, “The challenges were multifold  like designing the solar farm as per the best irradiation level of the area movement of modules to the site in a short time , managing logistics, identifying right manpower and training them, connecting to the grid among others. What made it particularly challenging, the project was to be completed within 40 days! Our in-house designing experts and their understanding of the solar business helped us to commission the solar farm in less than the specified time. This experience sets a new benchmark in solar EPC and should augur well for the Indian players.”

Ground-breaking technology developed by Hexaware Technologies, a leading global provider of IT, BPO and consulting services, will save the insurance industry significant savings in the range of 3-7 per cent of the current Gross Premium Revenues. Its new fraud analytics solution is the first of its kind and its unique features provides insurers unmatched fraud management capabilities and visibility. According to the Insurance Information Institute, property and casualty (P&C) insurance fraud costs the industry an estimated $30 billion every year. These losses are ultimately passed onto policyholders which translate to an estimated $300 in additional premiums per year.
