Health for me is holistic. We cannot divide mind and body, as they are the same. Mind is body and body is mind, so seeing them exclusively is the biggest modern problem in tackling sickness worldwide.

A healthy mind can only be present in a healthy body.

I have always been in to physical activities starting from sports, yoga, fitness and now more into movements specifically. So, for me health is a freedom which starts from physical ability to function more freely and many different ways in term of range of motion, better coordination, exploring rhythms, having elasticity, syncnorization etc. through different concepts of arts, sports, play. At the same time, you don't have to specialize in anything specific but keeping more generalist approach, because I believe being specialized also is not as healthy as it restricts you. Freedom of having more varieties of physical attributes and quality is healthier.

We need to move our body optimally. While food is needed for a healthy body, we do need various activities for the body to make it function well.

All these skills and qualities can't be achieved without mindfulness approach and this leads you to be more aware overall, which I believe is the soul.

Health care access in India is in a very bad shape, especially in rural areas. Expenditures by the government on health care services are not enough for the huge population as compared to other countries in term of portion of total GDP which we spend on the health care. Within this limited access itself, quality and monitoring are also big issues.

On the other hand, private health care is expensive and yet lacks proper monitoring. While there is no one quick fix solution, the fact that penetration of health care insurance being low, this could help lower cost and improved accessibility.

My recommendation for better health is first associated with the better environment, clean water, clean breathable air and quality food. Till a few years ago we used to think this is an urban issue but as we see multinational food brands penetrating rural India, and all the other enemies-sugar filled carbonated drinks or fast food; the situation is now alarming even there.

The need of the hour is to approach health holistically, make movement paramount and control the influx of zero nutrition high calory products,at least from the reach of the young generation both rural and urban.
