'Time For Superheroes To Rest'

The structures are falling, the hero symbolism is shattering, it is time to ground the great hero energy

Andreja Cepus, the Slovenian founder of ENVIR, has numerous non-conventional ideas about the new era of leadership. It involves breaking the existing shambles and moving towards a soft yet strong realm of leadership that concentrates more on the process than the ultimate goal.

The symbol of heroism has been marketed since centuries. Superhero movies are no new introductions into the pre-conceived structure while literature has already ear-marked its seal since the years of yore. But the times are changing. As the concept of equality and independence is gaining momentum worldwide, the symbol of a superhero can no longer be worshipped too.

Citing the example of water, Andreja Cepus feels that feminine is like water. Water is soft but heavy and strong. It transforms into its containers, having the potential to adapt to its surroundings. “We shouldn’t underestimate the power of softness,” says Cepus. Being feminine is being soft and yet powerful. It has the power to glue things together, to transform energy into positivity. It is time to step forward and give way to feminism.

Quoting Joseph Campbell, “The cave you are most scared to enter has the greatest treasure,” she feels “when you decide to do something, the universe will test you.” The vulnerability is the key principle of the feminine. Contrasting the conventional mass belief, Cepus exclaims “Vulnerability is power.” In this changing time, it is the responsibility to become ‘Hosts’ of the new structure and become equal and step forward to ensure positive change.

“We need to slow down,” states Andreja Cepus. Leadership is all about the process of self-development and it is all about the journey. There is a need for everyone to step forward, ensure their capabilities are utilised by society. It is time to “un-network,” to not just share the business card but have a conversation, have a proper communication and then see where things to from there.

Andreja Cepus successfully broke the conventions of the society, of the pro-longing hero symbolism at the Women Economic Forum 2017. It is time to create the field of energy that empowers every individual, every second.
