Crédit Agricole has chosen Atul Sodhi as a new global head of debt capital markets.
The job had been vacant since Sébastien Domanico, global head of DCM, was promoted in June to head of global credit, and on August 1 to head of global markets EMEA.
He has now been replaced as global DCM head by Atul Sodhi, head of global corporate debt capital markets. An internal announcement was made this afternoon.
Sodhi has worked at Crédit Agricole since 1997, much of that time in syndicated loans. He had been head of debt origination and advisory, Asia, in Hong Kong until January 2018, when he was promoted to head of global corporate DCM, based in Paris. That followed the move of Hugues Delafon into sustainable banking.
Domanico joined CA in September 2016 as head of DCM, having been head of financial institutions DCM at Société Générale. Tim Hall, who had been head of DCM since 2007, left that July.
